T.) are the two types of health professionals who work in physiotherapy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In Quebec, these are the only two types of physiotherapy professionals recognized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.professions-quebec.org\/systeme-professionnel-quebecois\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">professional system<\/a>. They treat physical disabilities and impairments and work to restore your full range of motion so you can go about your daily life. Physiotherapists and Phys. T. also help people manage pain, prevent injuries, work to educate the public, and promote health.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"color-highlight\">A new professional title<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The professional title <strong>physiotherapy technologist (Phys.\u00a0T.)<\/strong> replaced the former title <strong>physical rehabilitation therapist (PRT)<\/strong> as of September\u00a02020.\u00a0<a class=\"link-button\" href=\"https:\/\/stage.oppq.qc.ca\/membres\/actualites-et-dossiers\/trp-technologue-en-physiotherapie\/#version-EN\">More information<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Physiotherapists and physiotherapy technologists (Phys.
